Kimball Emergency Response

Current Emergency Status (click)

The Kimball Pan-Flu Committee began meeting in 2006 to help prepare families and businesses in our community for a pandemic flu outbreak (like "bird flu"). Our efforts at education and preparation easily can be applied to any disaster, whether a medical emergency like pandemic flu, a natural disaster like a tornado, or a man-made disaster like a train derailment.

In the event of a large-scale emergency – especially one that affects the region or beyond, and not just our small community – experts say we'll be on our own for some time. Is your family, business or church prepared to be isolated for up to two weeks? It could take that long for "help" to arrive from the outside.

Our intent is NOT to create panic. Rather it is to bring up questions now, and provide possible solutions now, long before an emergency. Please review these pages, visit some of the links, ask yourself some of the difficult questions, and take at least some of the steps to preparing for any emergency.

PREPARE – don't panic!

In the event of any emergency, can you and your family take care of yourselves for up to two weeks?

Preparation is not an accident.
